TAPROOT Sample DEF LEPPARD's 'Foolin'' On New Single
July 5, 2005Launch Radio Networks reports: TAPROOT's new album, "Blue-Sky Research", isn't out until August 16, but you can hear its first single, "Calling", on the group's web site. Drummer Jarrod Montague told Launch that the song was an instant hit with the four band members when they began recording it. "I think that's definitely one of the songs that, once it was all done and we heard it, like in the studio proper, like, to me that went immediately to the top of my list of favorites," he said. "It was just like, 'Damn, that song's powerful,' you know. It just seems to just rock really good and builds and builds."
"Calling" features a sample of DEF LEPPARD's "Foolin'".
The follow-up to 2002's "Welcome", "Blue-Sky Research" was produced by Michael Beinhorn in Los Angeles and features guest appearances by Billy Corgan (ex-SMASHING PUMPKINS) and Stephen Carpenter (DEFTONES). Download the album track "Facepeeler" in MP3 format at this location.
TAPROOT are touring throughout the summer, mostly with CHEVELLE. The band next play on Saturday (July 9) at the Egyptian in Indianapolis, Indiana.
